DESCRIPTION: Clocks- 3 (Three) Early and Unusual Chelsea: (1) Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, marine timepiece, 8 Day, time only, spring-driven balance wheel movement in a brass case with screw-on bezel and silvered dial, extremely early serial number of 4241 stamped on the back of the case, c1900. (2) Chelsea Clock Co., Boston for The Gamewell Co., New York, timepiece, 8 day, time only, spring-driven balance wheel movement in a brass case with silvered dial, serial number 108688, c1917; (3) Chelsea Clock Co., Boston for The Hoffecker Co., Boston, timepiece, 8 day, time only, spring-driven balance wheel movement in a brass tub with white enamel dial.
CONDITION: (1) Very early signed Chelsea movement with no serial number. Heavily tarnished silvered dial. Dark patina on brass case. Bluing has worn off of hands. Movement ticks. (2) Dark patina on bezel. Signed dial has lost some silvering by the number 8. Ticks and stops. (3) Many cracks and a few losses on the lower portion of the signed dial. Case and beveled glass in good condition. Movement ticks when wound. Sold "as is ".
